About Terry Dodson
Oregon-based Terry Dodson is in his 17th year as a comic-book professional. He gained industry attention in 1993 with Mantra for Malibu Comics. He then went on to Marvel Comics with the X-Men miniseries Storm with writer Warren Ellis. After a stint on the X-Men teen spin-off series Generation X, Dodson launched Harley Quinn for DC Comics with writer Karl Kesel, starring the Joker's deadly female sidekick. He then collaborated with writer Mark Millar on the year-long blockbuster Marvel Knights Spider-Man, and then with writer/filmmaker Kevin Smith on Spider-Man and the Black Cat. Dodson then relaunched and redesigned the universe of Wonder Woman, with writer Allan Heinberg, Jodi Picoult and Gail Simone. Terry is also working in the European market starting with the graphic novel Songes, for French publisher Les Humanoides Associes, enabling him to do both the lineart and color art for the first time. Based on the color work he's done for Europe, he had his first gallery show for his painted work at "Galerie du 9ème art" in Paris. Also, he has done work in video games, character design for animation, and designs for both toys and statues, as well. Currently, Terry is working on the Uncanny X-Men with writer Matt Fraction for Marvel Comics. Dodson remains a popular artist in the industry, a status he attributes in large part to the contributions of his wife, Rachel, who adds her talented inking to his work.
